# Introduction Wonderland Money • Documentation ## What is Wonderland? Wonderland DAO is a DeFi protocol focused on venture capital investments, yield maximizing market strategies, and expanding the utility of the Web3 and DeFi ecosystem by building custom investment products and partnering with growing projects that lay foundations for the future. Members represent their vote in the governance of the protocol and access their share of the treasury with our native token, wMEMO. Each wMEMO token is backed by a basket of assets in the treasury, a fluid portfolio managed by the community and expert traders elected by the community to seek out the most lucrative and effective strategies in the ecosystem. Wonderland DAO works to grow the intrinsic value of each wMEMO through market participation to provide long term value accrual. ## What is the point of Wonderland? Build capital and deploy it. Increase the wMEMO backing price and enjoy the ecosystem we helped build together. ## How it works: Wonderland is a decentralized autonomous organization controlled by its governance token, wMEMO. To participate in the DAO, users need to buy wMEMO tokens from the open market. These tokens can be used to vote on protocol proposals and direct the future of the project. #### 1. Purchase wMEMO To join the DAO, purchase wMEMO on the open market. You can find a trading pair on[ KyberSwap](https://kyberswap.com/swap/avalanche/usdc-to-wmemo) on the Avalanche Blockchain. #### 2. DAO Governance wMEMO holders can participate in Wonderland DAO governance. Active participants can voice their opinion and vote on capital allocations and Wonderland Improvement Proposals. ## Who created Wonderland? Wonderland was co-founded by Daniele Sestagalli, 0xSifu and Georgiyxo. # FAQ ## **Who is currently part of the Wonderland team?** In January 2023, the DAO voted to establish a new management structure. * **Visionary**: 0xSifu * **Communications Officer**: Alice * **Financial Officer**: ruian * **Treasury Operators**: Deal and The Ferengi * **Operations Officer**: Bamchicka * **Technical Officer:** Catalyst See [\[WIP #32\]](https://wl-l.ink/forum/WIP/Wonderland-DAO-Amendment) for more information on this proposal and the current management structure. ## **Who is on the DAO multisig?** The current members of the multisig are Dafacto *(Head of Product at Aurora)*, SkyHopper *(former Wonderland TM and head of Bastion Trading)*, Vayu *(Wonderland comms team)*, Dark Knight *(senior active community member)*, and two anonymous, neutral, third-party signers that have been internally doxxed. It is a 3/6 multisig on all chains. ## **What is the difference between MEMO and wMEMO?** MEMO is the unwrapped version of wMEMO and the staked version of TIME. wMEMO is “wrapped MEMO”. This token represents your full, undivided share. wMEMO is multichain, available cross-chain on Ethereum and Fantom. ## **What is the current ratio between MEMO and wMEMO?** As rebases have ended, the final ratio is now: **1 wMEMO = 2339.3522 MEMO.** ## **What about the TIME token?** TIME and MEMO were deprecated in January 2022. Please wrap your tokens to wMEMO. ## **What about rebases?** Rebases were stopped as part of [\[WIP #17\]](https://wl-l.ink/forum/WIP/17-Stop-Rebases) on the 13th of August, 2022. ## **Should I wrap my MEMO?** You are not required to wrap your MEMO. However, you will need to wrap first before utilizing it: * wMEMO has liquidity for swapping. * wMEMO can be bridged cross-chain to Ethereum and Fantom. * wMEMO can be utilized on other protocols such as UwU Lend or Glacier! ## **How do I wrap my MEMO?** Enter app.Wonderland.money and connect your wallet. Click the “WRAP” button in the top right corner. Input the MEMO amount you want to wrap. You will need some AVAX for gas. Approve the transaction. Click again to confirm the Wrap. Import the wMEMO contract address into your wallet. {% embed url="" %} ## **How is the Backing Price calculated?** The backing price = (current value of the treasury) / (number of wMEMO tokens in circulation). ## **Where can I buy/sell wMEMO?** We recommend using [Kyber](< https://wl-l.ink/Kyber>) to swap your tokens! ## **Stuck on loading?** Try clearing your browser cache and/or resetting your MetaMask. ## Where can I buy/sell wMEMO? Due to the ongoing circumstances surrounding Multichain, wMEMO liquidity has been pulled from Mainnet at this time. A concentrated amount of liquidity is available for swapping on Avalanche network through [Kyberswap](https://wl-l.ink/Kyber). Bridging wMEMO is not advised at this time; however, an in-house solution is in the works and will be announced shortly! # Bridge Bridges are smart contracts that allow users to move their tokens across different chains! The only token supported for bridging is wMEMO. Read more about MEMO wrapping [**here**](https://docs.wonderland.money/partnerships/abracadabra#wrapping). In order to bridge wMEMO towards different chains we rely on [**Multichain.org**](https://multichain.org/) (Previously Anyswap Network), we just provide another UI to interact with their smart contracts! All the fees, amounts and other parameters are decided by Multichain's team, Wonderland does not receive any of the fees collected! Bridging transactions may take some time but they always go through once they leave the depart wallet! Delays on large sums may happen, but transactions always go through! Import the wMEMO contract address into your wallet. {% embed url="" %} # Glossary ## APR *Annual Percentage Rate*, is the annualized interest rate without taking the effect of compounding into account. ## Backing Price The honored value of wMEMO based on its share of treasury assets. The backing price is calcuated as: *Liquid Treasury Balance / wMEMO Circulating Supply* ## DAO *Decentralized Autonomous Organization*, is a governance mechanism for making decisions in a more trustless and collaborative way. Voting rights are often bound to a governance token. In **Wonderland** the governance token is **wMEMO.** ## Treasury Operator An elected member who has experience in certain areas of investing and whose job is to propose advanced strategies to deploy the treasury and earn returns for token holders.
